Okay, in BMMS we take pride in our choir and band, because it's the arts that are important and other stuff the school teachers said... For this years winter concert we were singing 6 songs.
Lador V'dor (excuse me if I spelled it wrong) is a hebrew song. And you know how many people in that class could speak ( a little) hebrew. Yep, one.
So that may have been fine (becuase it's not terrible to sing a hebrew song) if the song wasn't a prayer song. I mean i'm a christian, so I don't believe in the 'almighty god' they have. I believe in my god. But why is that so bad, I mean it's not terrible. Well, the fact that one of ours songs said 'christmas'. But you know what we had to do? Cross out CHRISTMAS because CHRISTMAS may be offensive to people who are NOT CHRISTIAN. Yeah well, wouldn't a HEBREW song about the HEBREW GOD be offensive to people who aren't ISRAELITES? Apparently not.
So according to the great U.S.A (all sarcasm applied through that text) it's not okay to mention celebrating christmas but it's okay to sing a whole song about hebrew...
